Society of Women Engineers — Outreach Mentor — Facilitated hands-on science and engineering workshops, inspiring junior and high-school girls in Chicago to pursue STEM careers.
Fun fact: I went back to school for computer engineering after bootstrapping as an indie filmmaker. Turns out debugging code and editing film have a lot in common — both involve staring at a screen, muttering “why won’t this work,” and consuming unreasonable amounts of water.
